Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Save. Plan. Retire. (“SPR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit saveplanretire.com (the “Site”). We are committed to handling personal data lawfully, transparently, and in a manner consistent with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable U.S. privacy laws.

1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

John B Vickers
4111 Rose Lake Dr, Ste E
Charlotte, NC 28217
United States

Privacy inquiries: privacy@saveplanretire.com

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom and have questions about how your data is handled, you may contact us at the address above.

Data Protection Officer: We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. We are not required to under Article 37 GDPR, as our processing does not involve large-scale systematic monitoring of individuals or large-scale processing of special-category data. Privacy matters are handled directly at the contact above.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect a limited amount of information, and only with your consent where required:

  • Analytics data (consent-based): If you accept analytics cookies via our consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referral source). Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses by design.
  • Contact information you provide: If you contact us by email or through a contact form, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your name, email address, and message).
  • Technical data necessary for the Site to function: Such as essential cookies used to remember your consent choices. These do not require consent.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing profiling.

3. Cookies and Consent

The Site uses a consent management platform (Complianz) to ask for your permission before setting any non-essential cookies. No analytics cookies are placed until you give consent.

  • Essential cookies are used to remember your consent preferences and are necessary for the Site to operate.
  • Statistics cookies (Google Analytics) are placed only after you click “Accept.”

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Manage consent” option on the Site. For a full list of cookies, see our Cookie Policy (generated and maintained automatically).

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): for analytics cookies and any non-essential processing.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): for maintaining the security and basic operation of the Site.

5. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Measurement ID: G-Z5JHYNCNFM) with the following privacy measures:

  • Analytics is loaded only after you consent via the consent banner.
  • Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; IP data is used only momentarily by Google to derive coarse, less-precise location and is not retained or made available to us.
  • We have not enabled any cross-Google use, advertising features, or data sharing for advertising purposes.
  • Google acts as a data processor on our behalf under Google’s Data Processing Terms.
  • Some analytics data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. The United States is not, in general, covered by an EU adequacy decision; these transfers rely on the safeguards Google provides as the importer, including certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses under Article 46 GDPR. You may request information about these safeguards via the contact above.
  • Data retention: User-level analytics data is retained for 2 months (Google Analytics 4’s default and most data-minimizing setting), after which it is automatically deleted by Google. This reflects the GDPR storage-limitation principle (Art. 5(1)(e)) — we keep identifiable-level data no longer than necessary.

You can learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Analytics data: 2 months at user level (see above); Google retains aggregate, non-identifying report data for longer per its standard terms.
  • Email correspondence: retained only as long as necessary to respond to and document your inquiry, and then deleted in the normal course.
  • Consent records: retained as needed to demonstrate that valid consent was obtained.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate data;
  • Request deletion of your data;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already carried out);
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the EU, your local Data Protection Authority; in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@saveplanretire.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

8. Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you (Article 22 GDPR). Analytics data is used only in aggregate to understand general Site usage.

9. Is Providing Your Data Required?

Providing personal data to us is not a statutory or contractual requirement. You are not obliged to accept analytics cookies, and you are not obliged to contact us. If you decline analytics consent, you can still use the Site normally; the only consequence is that your visit will not be measured. If you choose not to provide contact details, we will be unable to respond to an inquiry.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including a web application firewall and standard hosting safeguards. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
